Timothy M. Davey – Chief Executive Officer

Timothy M. Davey is the founder of DRI Companies and has been a recognized entrepreneur in the roofing industry since 1978. Over the course of his career, Mr. Davey has been responsible for all aspects of roofing contracting management, including sales, operations and risk management. He has overseen the installation of over three-hundred thousand roofs in the Western U.S.

Mr. Davey is active in roofing and building trade associations. He has served two terms as a Vice President of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) as well as four terms on NRCA’s Board of Directors. He is a former President of the National Roofing Foundation and a founding Governor of the Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress. Mr. Davey is the immediate Past President of the California Professional Association of Specialty Contractors (CALPASC). Mr. Davey is also a founding member and currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing (The Center), a Washington, D.C. based non-partisan organization whose core purpose is to promote the development and use of environmentally responsible, high performance roof systems.

Brian J. Flaherty – President

Brian J. Flaherty is one of the owners of DRI Companies and has been an executive in the roofing contracting industry since 1979. Mr. Flaherty has extensive experience in sales, operations, procurement, and risk management. Mr. Flaherty has served on the Board of Directors of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association and The Independent Roofing Contractors Association of California. He has also been on the National Safety Council for three years, where he served on the Construction Safety Committee.

Mr. Flaherty is widely known in the roofing industry for his technical expertise and currently holds Roofing Contractor licenses in nine states as well as General Contractor licenses in four states. Mr. Flaherty has been instrumental in developing Lumeta’s Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) products.

Stephen Torres – Chief Operating Officer

Stephen Torres brings over 8 years of clean technology product development and commercialization experience to Lumeta, Inc. Prior to joining the Lumeta team, Mr. Torres oversaw the Alternative Energy Division of Magnetek, a leading manufacturer of clean energy components and subsystems. Mr. Torres launched Magnetek’s residential solar inverter product line in both Europe and North America.

Mr. Torres also has extensive experience with fuel cell technologies, and has developed over 4 megawatts (MW) of co-generation projects, including the largest fuel cell installations in the western US. He worked closely with the legislature and the Public Utilities Commission in California, developing a $60 million, multi-year incentive program for fuel cell-based, on-site generation projects. Mr. Torres holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

Alan Ruben – Chief Financial Officer

Alan J. Ruben is the Chief Financial Officer for all of the DRI Companies. Mr. Ruben joined the organization after working as the Chief Financial Officer at a publicly held, high technology enterprise. Additionally, Mr. Ruben has over eighteen years of public accounting firm experience. Mr. Ruben earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Business Administration from California State University – Long Beach. He is also a CPA licensed in the state of California. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the California Society of CPA’s, Construction Financial Manager’s Association and National Safety Council.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Ruben is responsible for overseeing all financial, tax, IT, legal, human resources and risk management matters. He has been instrumental in implementing new risk management concepts and was recognized at the 26th IRMI Construction Risk Conference for restructuring the loss prevention and cost control techniques related to DRI Companies' safety program.
